Terms of Use
The short version
- Luna Shift helps you keep track of perimenopause and menopause. It is not medical advice, and it cannot diagnose anything.
- There is no account. What you log stays on your iPhone and in your own iCloud, and it belongs to you.
- It is a subscription, sold and billed by Apple. You can cancel any time in your iPhone's Settings.
- These terms sit alongside Apple's standard licence for App Store apps.
Luna Shift is not medical advice
Luna Shift is for personal tracking and information only. It is not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and nothing in it is medical advice.
Only a qualified clinician can diagnose perimenopause or menopause, or decide on treatment. Please keep that in mind every time you use the app.
- Never start, change or stop a medicine, including hormone therapy, because of something in the app. Speak to your doctor, nurse or pharmacist first.
- Charts, insights, weekly summaries and the doctor report describe patterns in what you logged. They are not proof that one thing causes another, and they are only as complete as your entries.
- Dose reminders are a convenience. They can be missed if notifications are off, your phone is off or iOS delays them. Do not rely on them alone.
- The reading material, including the NHS guidance, is general information, not advice about you.
- In an emergency, call your local emergency number (112 anywhere in the EU) or go to the nearest emergency department. Do not use the app to wait out symptoms that worry you.
Who we are
Luna Shift is made and published by Yael Michal Dredzen, an individual developer, not a company. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Yael Michal Dredzen, and "you" means the person using the app or this website. You can reach us at lunashiftsupport@gmail.com.
Accepting these terms
These terms apply when you download, open or use Luna Shift, and when you use this website. By using the app you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the app, and cancel any subscription in your iPhone's Settings.
Luna Shift is also licensed to you under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement ("Apple's EULA"), which the app's subscription screen links to. Both apply. If they conflict about your licence to use the app from the App Store, Apple's EULA controls.
Who can use Luna Shift
Luna Shift is made for adults. It is rated 12+ on the App Store, but it is not directed at children. Children under 13 should not use Luna Shift or send us feedback. If you are 13 to 17, please use it only with the agreement of a parent or guardian. You need an iPhone and an Apple Account to download it and subscribe.
Your licence to use the app
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use Luna Shift on Apple devices you own or control, as the App Store's usage rules allow. You may not:
- copy, resell, rent or lend the app, or offer it to others as a service;
- remove or change any copyright or ownership notices;
- try to get around the subscription screen or the subscription checks;
- reverse engineer or decompile the app, except where the law says you may;
- use the app in any way that breaks the law.
Subscriptions, the free trial and cancelling
Luna Shift works by subscription. It is sold and billed by Apple through the App Store, so Apple takes your payment and we never see your card details.
Plans
Monthly (US $7.99) or yearly (US $44.99). Prices differ by country. The App Store shows your local price before you confirm.
Free trial
New subscribers get a 7-day free trial, one per Apple Account, as Apple sets it.
Payment
Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase, or when the free trial ends.
Automatic renewal
Your subscription renews automatically at the plan price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the free trial or the current period ends.
Cancelling
On your iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
Refunds
Apple handles refunds under its own policies. You can ask Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
No free version
There is no free tier and there are no discount codes. Without an active subscription the app shows only the subscription screen, but you can still export all of your data from it.
Nothing here takes away any right you have by law as a consumer, including any right to cancel or get a refund. Apple's own terms explain how to use those rights for App Store purchases.
Your content and your data
Everything you log in Luna Shift is yours. It stays on your iPhone and in your own private iCloud backup, and we cannot see it. There is no account and no sign-in.
- Export it at any time, with or without a subscription.
- Erase it at any time in Settings, then Erase everything and start over. This removes every entry from your iPhone and from your iCloud backup, and cannot be undone.
- Deleting the app is not the same as erasing. Your iCloud backup stays, so reinstalling restores your history.
Only two things ever reach us: feedback you choose to send, and the fact that a subscription is active. Our privacy policy explains exactly how that works.
Anyone who can open your iPhone may be able to open Luna Shift, so please keep your phone and your Apple Account secure.
Using Luna Shift fairly
When you use Luna Shift, including the feedback form, please do not:
- send anything unlawful, abusive or threatening;
- send other people's personal or health information;
- try to break, overload or interfere with the app or the services it connects to;
- use the app to give medical advice or medical services to other people.
Other services the app relies on
- Apple — the App Store, payments, and your private iCloud backup. Apple's own terms and privacy policy apply to those.
- RevenueCat — confirms whether your subscription is active.
- Supabase — stores the feedback you choose to send.
These services are run by other companies. We do not control them, so we cannot promise they will always be available.
Apple Health. If you switch it on, Luna Shift reads selected Health data on your iPhone, only with your permission, and never writes anything back to Apple Health. That data is not sent to us. You can withdraw access at any time in the Health app, under Sharing, Apps, Luna Shift.
Who owns what
The Luna Shift app, name, icon, design, text and graphics belong to Yael Michal Dredzen or are used under licence. © 2026 Yael Michal Dredzen.
NHS content. Some guidance text in the app is reproduced word for word from the NHS. It contains public sector information licensed under the Open Government Licence v3.0. The NHS does not endorse Luna Shift, and this reuse does not suggest that it does.
Copyright complaints
Luna Shift does not publish anything its users upload: feedback and screenshots come only to us. If you believe something in the app or on this website uses your copyrighted work without permission, email lunashiftsupport@gmail.com with:
- your name and how to reach you;
- the work you believe is being copied, and where it appears in the app or on the website;
- a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorised by you, your agent or the law;
- a statement that the information is accurate and that you own the right or may act for the owner, with your physical or electronic signature.
We will look into every complete notice and remove material that infringes.
Feedback you send us
Thank you for it. If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve Luna Shift without owing you anything for them. We handle the message itself as our privacy policy describes, and we delete it if you ask. Please do not put anything in feedback that you would not want us to read.
Changes to the app
We keep improving Luna Shift, so features may be added, changed or removed. We work to keep it running well, but we cannot promise it will always be available, free of errors, or compatible with every iPhone and iOS version.
If we ever stop offering Luna Shift, we will try to tell you in advance through the app. Your entries live on your iPhone and in your iCloud, not with us.
Our responsibility to you
As far as the law allows, Luna Shift is provided "as is" and "as available", and we do not promise it will meet every need you have. As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for:
- decisions about your health that you make based on the app;
- loss that was not a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms;
- loss of entries caused by your device, your Apple Account or iCloud, or by erasing them;
- business losses. Luna Shift is for personal use.
Where the law allows us to limit our responsibility, the most we are responsible for is the amount you paid for Luna Shift in the 12 months before your claim.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, for deliberate or grossly negligent wrongdoing, or for anything else the law does not allow us to limit. You also keep every consumer right that cannot be removed by contract, including, in the European Union, your legal right to digital content that matches what was promised.
Ending these terms
You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription, delete the app, and erase your entries first if you want them gone.
We may end your right to use Luna Shift if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms. The parts of these terms that by their nature should carry on, such as the medical notice, ownership and our responsibility to you, continue after that.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top of this page and note the change in the app's release notes. If you do not agree with a change, you can cancel your subscription and stop using the app. Continuing to use Luna Shift after a change means you accept the updated terms.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by French law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts of that country. Nothing in these terms takes that away.
If something goes wrong, please email us first. We would much rather sort it out with you directly.
Apple's part in this
Because Luna Shift comes from the App Store, Apple requires these terms to say the following.
- These terms are between you and Yael Michal Dredzen, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for Luna Shift and its content.
- Your licence is limited to using Luna Shift on Apple-branded products that you own or control, as the Usage Rules in Apple's Media Services Terms and Conditions allow.
- Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for Luna Shift. For support, contact us.
- If Luna Shift fails to meet any warranty that applies, you may tell Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. As far as the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app. Any other claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs or expenses caused by a failure to meet a warranty are our responsibility, not Apple's.
- We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claim from you or anyone else about Luna Shift or your use of it. That includes product liability claims, claims that the app does not meet a legal or regulatory requirement, and claims under consumer protection, privacy or similar laws, including in connection with its use of Apple Health (HealthKit).
- If anyone claims that Luna Shift or your use of it infringes their intellectual property, we, not Apple, are responsible for investigating, defending, settling and discharging that claim.
- You confirm that you are not in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by the US Government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
- You must also follow any third-party terms that apply when you use the app, such as your mobile network's.
- Apple and Apple's subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms. Once you accept them, Apple has the right to enforce them against you as a third-party beneficiary.
